Coconuts are known for their immense versatility ranging from traditional uses in a few communities to modern uses, centered on scientific analysis. These kinds of are the fruit of the coconut palm, and are grown abundantly in many tropical and semitropical countries like India. Coconuts are known for their large quantity of drinking water, and once immature, they are harvested just for this water which is very refreshing to drink and packed with mineral deposits. Mature coconuts have a little amount of drinking water, but by then the endosperm has formed a thick white kernel which is processed to produce oil. Coconut palms produce their first fruit in six to ten years, reaching peak production in 15-20 years. In ideal conditions, just one tree can yield 75 fruits in a year.
Coconuts are processed to yield both oil and what is called coconut milk. Coconut oil, an edible petrol, is extracted from the kernel of mature coconuts. Very low high fat content, which renders it more resists oxidation or rancidity letting it last up to six months at 24 degrees C without spoiling. Its high excess fat content also makes the regular consumption a good issue, with most doctors advising against it.

There needs to be an unmistakable understanding that the saturated fat contained in coconut oil is very different in function to the saturated fat contained in animal fats.

Since coconut oil is a MCT, it is converted to energy so quickly that it creates a lot of heat. In a study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, MCT’s burn three times more calories for six hours after a meal than LCT’s.
I also want to mention that most salad and cooking oils that are sold at the market are also highly refined and manufactured basically the same way as I described above. Always make sure all the oils you consume are cold pressed (no chemical solvents or heat used) and preferably organic.
